Frequently Asked Questions
-
CEUs (Continuing Education Units) and PDHs (Professional Development Hours) are both measures of continuing education. In Florida engineering licensure, PDHs are the standard unit used for license renewal.
The standard conversion is:
1 CEU = 10 PDHs
For example, a 0.3 CEU course is equivalent to 3 PDHs -
Florida Professional Engineers must report PDHs, not CEUs. If a course lists CEUs, you can convert them to PDHs using the standard conversion ratio.
-
Our completion certificates clearly indicate the approved PDHs earned for Florida PE reporting. If CEUs are also listed, the equivalent PDHs are provided for clarity.
-
The number of approved CE credits varies by course. Each course description clearly states the number of Florida-acceptable credits you’ll receive upon successful completion.
